My name is Jeff Mirro, and my passion is health and fitness, and more specifically, using intermittent dry fasting to improve and cure health problems. Dry fasting is a form of fasting in which you don’t consume any food or water for an extended period of time. You can read my blog posts to learn how and why this is beneficial to your health, but to put it simply, dry fasting is the closest thing we have to a healing miracle, yet very few people know about it, and most people think it’s crazy when they first hear about it. But it works. It works for weight loss, digestive problems, skin problems, and a whole host of other health issues.

What You Will Learn On My Blog

On this blog, you will learn about things like autophagy, intermittent dry fasting (my preferred form of fasting since it’s more practical than extended fasts), water and salt fasting, and what to eat when you actually refeed. I believe in the one meal a day (OMAD) philosophy, although, in certain circumstances, two meals with a tight eating window may be more appropriate. Constantly spiking your insulin by snacking or grazing, or even eating three square meals a day like you were always told to do, is one of the worst things you can do for your health.

We will also discuss fitness and the best workout routines you can use to not only lose weight and put on muscle but to also enhance the healing process your body undergoes when dry fasting or salt-water fasting.

Jeff Mirro: A Passion for Health

My whole life has been dedicated to fitness and nutrition. I have been doing formal exercise since the age of 12 and researching and reading about nutritional topics and alternative medicine since 2000. But until now, my passion has been directed at only keeping myself in shape and healthy. But now I want to share what I’ve learned, through my research and practical application into my own life, with everyone who reads this blog. I want to see people as healthy and fit as possible because I know it will lead to more happiness in your life.

Full disclosure, my health hasn’t always been perfect, nor is it right now. I am constantly dealing with skin problems that I hope to cure through dry fasting and salt-water fasting in the near future. I’ve had rosacea since the age of 16, but luckily, it’s mostly been just the redness (mostly on the cheeks and forehead) and not the other symptoms that many people get with this condition. But besides that, I’m pretty darn healthy. I have always been super lean, some would even say underweight, with a six-pack. I am currently 5’9, 130 lbs, with 4.3% body fat. And as of July 2022, I am 38 years old.

Dry Fasting Wisdom from Cole Robinson

My inspiration in starting this blog and trying to help people lose weight and cure their health problems is a man named Cole Robinson. Cole is the founder of the Snake Diet, which is a popular YouTube channel where he recommends both dry fasting, and for a more extended fast, fasting with a combination of what he calls Snake Juice (water, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, baking soda, and magnesium sulfate). Fair warning, Cole is extremely vulgar, but if you’re not easily offended, he is actually hilarious, entertaining, brilliant, and inspirational. He has motivated me to make some awesome changes to my life since early February of 2019, including quitting caffeine (in ALL forms, coffee, tea, chocolate, energy drinks, supplements, soda, etc.), adopting a fasting-focused lifestyle which mainly includes 16-24 hour dry fasts or water fasts, exercising much more, and prioritizing sleep more in my life.

I have not met the man and he doesn’t know who I am, but I could not thank him enough for getting me started on this journey. Dr. Jason Fung and anyone else who believes in the power of fasting with water and salt, intermittent fasting, or dry fasting also deserves credit for inspiring me to start this blog and share this knowledge with you to help you improve your life. There are hundreds of hours of great fasting content on YouTube and other video websites that I’d encourage you to check out, but the Snake Diet would be my top choice if you can handle Cole’s abrasive personality.
